In this unique workshop, you will learn how to use both western and Chinese methods in emergency situations to save lives. These are skills that every family should learn.
Maximum size: 6 people
Workshop schedule:
10am -4pm with Gina Vanwingerden on western CPR and first aid
CPR – or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest. Every year, 475,000 people die from cardiac arrest in the United States. Keeping the blood flow active – even partially – extends the opportunity for a successful resuscitation once trained medical staff arrive on site. (American Heart Association)
Dr. Wu and Gina invite you to learn CPR and First Aid. These skills can one day save someone's life. We will learn adult, child, and infant CPR and the use of an AED. Also first aid skills including a tourniquet, splinting and using an Epi-pen for allergic reaction.
4pm-6pm with Dr. Wu on Chinese first aid
Learn how Chinese medicine treats sprained ankles, dislocated joints, broken bones, fractures and more.
