Bao Chan Wu You Fang, also known as Worry-Free Formula to Protect Birth, is a classic herbal formula recommended for pregnant women with a history of miscarriages or with certain pregnancy complications, such as:

• Malpositioned fetus

• Urinary difficulties

• Morning sickness

• Pregnancy pain

• Fetal restlessness

• Fetal restlessness

• Uterine prolapse

• Vaginal bleeding during pregnancy

It can also be used in the months leading up to delivery as a supportive measure to ensure a smooth labor. The formula tonifies and balances Qi and strengthens the kidneys (which are sure to soon be taxed in the caring of a newborn!), nourishes the blood, stabilizes the pregnancy, calms the fetus, and regulates the hormones. This formula helps mothers carry their babies to term and has been known to stop pre-term labor.

The formula is typically prepared as a tea brewed with raw herbs, but can also be made to order in powdered form.

It is a very safe and widely used formula. The only contraindication is for women with signs of Fire from Yin deficiency.
