Stop Hair Loss in its Tracks!

If you or a loved one have recently started to experience hair loss, you understand the psychological stress and despair this aesthetic shift can cause. Stress is in itself a major contributor to hair loss, and so this can perpetuate the cycle. However, you do not have to suffer or worry; if your hair loss is recent, it may be reversed by using some simple herbs and practices!

Underlying Causes of Hair Loss

If you are wondering “why me” or you want to better understand the root cause of hair loss, from a TCM perspective, it is often attributed to Spleen and Qi and/or Kidney deficiency. Stress often causes such deficiencies, which is why stress so frequently leads to hair loss. Giving birth is a very depleting event and hence often results in hair loss. Menopause and aging result in the diminishment of vital energy, and hair loss results from this depletion. Anorexia is severely depleting and results in malnourishment and blood deficiency and frequently results in hair loss. Lack of circulation as a result of blood deficiencies and kidney weakness can also contribute to undernourished hair follicles and result in hair loss.

Restore Hair Growth (and Get Younger In the Process!)

Given that depletion is at the root cause of hair loss, it is imperative to replenish and rejuvenate the body to prevent further loss and to restore lost hair. Dr. Wu has developed a formula, Rejuvenate Formula 1, which contains a combination of tonifying and invigorating herbs that build the blood and Qi, improve circulation, and direct Qi upwards. And because these herbs treat the whole body and not just the hair, they have the added bonus of being anti-aging tonics all around! The formula is energizing and beautifying for deep internal and external replenishment. It is an excellent maintenance formula for those who are middle-aged and older, or for those who have endured a period of intense stress or burnout, and can safely be taken as a regular supplement.

Taking this formula regularly, along with lightly hammering the entire scalp for 30 minutes daily with a plum blossom needle acupuncture tool, can significantly restore hair growth.

Formula Composition

Some of the herbs comprising the Rejuvenate Formula 1 are listed below:

  • Fo-ti, also known as He Shou Wu. This is the prepared root of an east Asian climbing plant, which tonifies the liver and kidneys, nourishes the blood and nourishes jing.

  • American Ginseng Root, or Xi Yang Shen. This type of Ginseng tonifies Qi, generates fluids, nurtures the stomach and nourishes yin. It is also particularly helpful for lung health.

  • Tienchi Ginseng Root, or San Qi. This type of Ginseng invigorates the blood, curing blood stasis and improves blood flow. Learn more about this incredible herb here.

  • Herba Ecliptae, or Han Lian Cao. This plant is part of the sunflower family and is nourishing and tonifying for liver and kidney yin.

  • Dong Quai Root, or Chinese Angelica Root. This is a classic herb for women’s health, as it tonifies and invigorates the blood, warms the blood, and regulates the menses, but it works well for men and women.

  • Hu Ma Ren, or Black Sesame Seed. Black sesame seeds are nourishing and strengthening for the liver and kidney yin, as well as nourishing for jing and blood.

  • Astragalus, or Huang Qi. This herb strongly tonifies Qi and blood, and directs Qi flow upward. Thus, it is particularly helpful for supporting hair growth (and your brain will receive an added boost at the same time!).
